Privacy in Recapp

Recapp sends audio for transcription, text for summaries, chat and reports, and only screenshots you explicitly include as context. Transfers use TLS encryption; Azure decrypts content for processing. Recapp does not keep recordings, screenshots, notes or results in cloud storage. Originals and results belong to you and are saved on your device. Microsoft may temporarily retain flagged prompts or output under its standard abuse-monitoring process.

Sign in with Google, Apple or Microsoft to use Recapp. The account service stores a profile and sessions in Azure, separately from meeting content. Signing in does not upload files: processing requires separate consent. Signing out locks the workspace and preserves your files.

Website and distribution: Azure receives ordinary web requests for pages, app packages. Infrastructure logs may include IP addresses and request metadata.

Optional website analytics: only after you allow it, the site sends page paths and selected button or download events to a separate Azure Application Insights resource. Cookies, browser storage, session replay, full URLs, query strings, form content and meeting content are excluded. Azure temporarily uses the network address for approximate location and then masks the stored address. You can change this choice at any time.

Vaults: Markdown is plain text, not encrypted by Recapp. Protect your device and any folder, backup or sync service you choose.
